Hey everybody, today is a great day! Not only because it’s summer and life is awesome, but also because it’s time to finally see what features and improvements Underworld 2 will bring to the table. As always, we need your feedback guys, so don’t be shy and spit it out!
Feature #1, the game changer: Orders.
In a nutshell, it’s a way to see real-time Demand around you and sell stuff directly to a dealer or junkie. The first Underworld was built around the concept of Offers: get hold of some cheap stuff, set your asking price for it and wait for somebody to buy. Yes, it’s a great concept and it works. But under certain circumstances it might get a bit static and slow, especially in less populated areas.
So that’s where Orders enter the game. The same way you controlled Offers, you can now control Orders too. Set your bidding price and the number of items you need — now everybody nearby can see your Demand for the commodity and sell it to you even when you’re offline. A local dealer or junkie needs Waffles, so he sets his Order: 5 Waffles, $7k each. Got the stuff and like the bidding price? Don’t wait, just open the Order and make the sale. Cha-ching!
Orders will drastically increase the pace of the game, because they allow you to see current Demand and Supply at the same time and make the dough instantly. It will also make resale chains between dealers longer, improving social aspect of the game. Of course it means we have to re-balance the whole economical shebang from scratch, but that’s exactly why we need the prototype we’re working on right now.

Hey LizardLicN, please drop your transfer request once again to firstname.lastname@example.org. If we don’t respond to an email within a day or two it can mean only two things: the email went to Spam folder (sorry but it happens from time to time, can’t help it) or we are incredibly busy. The latter is not the case right now, so you are in the clear.
I really am not an anti gun person…but really don’t see how they could be used in game play. If two dealers get in a shoot out how would you determine a winner? Does the computer just pick one? Or would it be an equipment thing? Whoever is leveled up and has better guns wins, if so this will deter new players from playing as they will be easy targets.
There would have to be a good checks and balance system in place, with substantial consequences. If you are fatally shot you start over from scratch or are locked out of the game for a certain amount of time.
I like the orders feature ~ as you mentioned, it will help speed up sales in less populated areas. Question ~ I have lots of packs which I purchased a whole ago which are now basically useless as iOS5 doesn’t allow deliveries anymore. will we be able to transfer these packs over to the new game when it’s released? cheers!
I lost my old phone and had to start from scratch. I was told by a few friends to email the support group about getting my old info transferred but I never got a response even after a few emails. I was on rank 19 then had to start from scratch, just with the same name.
Love the updates, can’t wait for the next! The artwork is really impressive too. Any chance of a release window coming soon? I’ve been lucky enough to recover my Underworld account twice into different iPhones but I plan on switching to Android soon. Is there a process already to transfer from between the two?
I’m not fond of the idea of weapons or attacking newbies either, but spending money on something other then upgrades seems like the next step… Maybe purchasing a grid your regularly in (home, at work or school) as a safe zone is a good idea?
Either way, I’m excited for UW2. Keep up the great work! Ps: I’d love to beta test too!
