As one of the people who complained about Apple and there way of things, I don’t ever want to appear ungrateful. Thanks to the folks at Apple Corp for finally allowing the approval of this game.
Most importantly, thanks to to Andrey and A-steroids for seeing this through. As much as we hated the waiting, they surely must have hated it worse. Got the game up and running around 11:30 P.M. EST and all is a it should be- save for the names:D
Thanks for doing a really stellar job on this game! I have no doubt that it will become a very popular and widely played game.

75 UW points to redistribute upgrades? Wouldn’t it be a good service towards the beta-users to give them a discount so they can afford that for the initial 15 points?

Great job again guys! I agree with the 75 points to redistruibute. That’s the only thing that costs points that ever interested me, and I was really looking forward to having the free points to redistribute.
I’m surprised a lot of the buying lag is still there. This game is fun once you get it down, but it does have a learning curve. I worried about the mass appeal due to that learning curve. Hope things work out, cause I’m afraid you guys are going to get hammered in the ratings once people start downloading.
Anyway, someone at apple has a sense of humor by approving it on 4/20 :P. I’m just glad to have it back. Hope you guys get a quick start guide up for new people so this game can grow.
@Andrey I did have one question. I never ran into a lot a people on the same map before. This is my big concern with the MMO aspect of this game. If two people on the same map are trying to sell doughnuts, does the junkie buy from both, or does the junkie only buy from the lowest bidder?
If they buy from the lowest bidder, that is more realistic, but it also makes me want less people playing. I don’t want to have to keep having an undercutting fest. I like my setup.

Stefan51278 has a great point. 1 hour of police protection isn’t worth it very much, unless you are driving all over creation for 1 hour. Otherwise you are going to get 4-5 deals tops before your time runs out.
Seems the servers only update every 13-19 minutes. Used to vary quite a bit.

All Im waiting for is that drug skin. Its hard to take candy seriously. But the graphics are sweet! Nice job with the design fellas even though candy is gay, theres no way apple would of approved drugs so you had to turn to something. Lets all be thankful it wasnt UW:Vegetable Wars!!!!:)

Hey everybody. Here is a help document from the previous version of the game. It still references drugs as commodities and doesn’t describe some of new features, but the basics are the same.
New version is going to be published right into the game as soon as possible.

Just as in real life, they’re not going to buy from you, if they can buy across the street for less!
I think this will really help, in the long term, toward making the economy flow as it would in real life.

Ok I have the Theme ready for Winterboards.
It makes it look and feel like Undererworld: DL
All strings have also been changed to reflect DL version.

Just submitted the theme to BigBoss repo. Should be available in cydia under the BigBoss repo in 24 hours or less.

First off. It is still pending at BigBoss, but as soon as it uploaded by them you can download it from their repo.
To add their repo go into cydia and touch on “Manage”
then touch on “Sources” from there you can see all the repos installed. If BigBoss is not installed touch “Edit” then “Add” and enter this “http://apt.bigboss.us.com/repotiles/cydia/”
then touch “Add Source”
This will allow you to see their repo.
Now just wait until they post it up.

Yeah, I was able to reskin it last night, but I couldn’t figure out how to change the names of the product.
I know we have to wait up to 24 hours for the bigboss repo to add it. Wish we could get a link in the mean time, so I could test it out :).

@vapermokey, The names in the map are (from what I can find out) created on the server side. They are not localy stored on our phone, so for now they can’t be changed.
@Schimmel, & @z3r0tw0, Try and download the theme from cydia. You may have grabed the other persons theme they made. (What was the size of the file you downloaded?) Should be 341kb for mine. Check the forms again mine us labeled “Underworld SD back to DL (Winterboard Theme)”

Stevie, after you have downloaded and launched 15 Points version you can uninstall it from the phone and download the free version to play. Although you will lose conversation & recent deal history, ’cause it is stored locally.

i know now why the words aren’t changing in the theme, i think it has something to do with localisation, when i apply the theme with winterboard the names remain the same, but i changed the Localizable.strings file in the underworld app folder manually with ssh now it works
i think winterboard doesn’t do it correct if ur iphone uses a different language than english, im from germany

I found a possible oversight in your theme-If youclick on ‘Recent Deals,’ and then click to get the details of a deal, it says that junkies are “Sugar Addicts” still.

until albe solves the problem u can manually solve it if u have ssh
with ur ftp prog go to /private/var/mobile/applications and then u have to find the right folder. ive done it with the date: search for the date where u installed underworld und put the Localizable.strings file from the theme to the folder

The good part is that a lot of the stuff is server side. they should easily be able to track down people who didn’t purchase the points and kill their accounts/ban their phone. Not a smart crack to use.

Yeah, nice, too bad Apple decided to NOT launch the game in my country… if u see some players from Brazil, be advised that they’ll be using a cracked version.

The game is fun no matter what, yea, sucks cream of the crop might be fucked till they figure out how to kill their accounts, but the game is more YOU buying and selling, not trying to not get caught by police. That is chance after all…
Points are not going to make you a lvl 20 overnight, guess that would take some thought on your part to figure out though.

What are you talking about, with 75 point you can re-upgrade your equipment so 1 lvl gained.

You don’t gain a lvl.
It refunds the money you spent on upgrades to your current level, that’s all.

Yeah even with police protection 24/7, it’s still going to take a lot of invested time, and 3 or so weeks of non stop play to get up to 15-16. The points are nice when you get sick of being busted for a while, or you know you are going to buy a lot of product soon, but they aren’t going to make anyone level that fast.
I can confirm the respec is just that, you get to redistribute your points. You don’t gain a level. It’s a sweet feature though, and well worth the 5 bucks for higher levels.

Regarding to your drugtheme on Cydia, is your authroname “almulder” and the size of that file is 324.5kb.
Just trying to make sure i’ve got the right theme, i too have the right skins, but the names are still candy.

Just submitted Ver1.5 of my theme. Should be available by tomorrow. This should fix most issues with Drug Names Not Appearing when your phone is using a different language. Also Themes added for the UW Point packages.
