Underworld traffickers are heading to Facebook
Underworld: SweetDeal 1.1 is available in the AppStore.
As we have mentioned before, the biggest and the most useful feature we have prepared in the update is ability to connect with Facebook. What exactly will you be able to do with that?
First of all, it is your chance to get some extra UW points for free! Underworld rewards you with 10 points when you connect your game profile with Facebook. Also, you are going to get 5 points every time one of your Facebook friends joins the game by your invitation.
Second, connecting with Facebook makes it easy to share your Underworld’s events and achievements with your friends:
- Post stories to your Facebook page every time you acquire a new rank
- Post UW shouts to share what’s going on with you in Underworld
- Compete with your friends in the Cream of the Crop
If you’re a Facebook user, don’t forget to visit Underworld’s application page.
As usual, we appreciate your feedback a lot! What other features utilizing Facebook Connect you can think of? What types of UW activity you would like to share with your friends? What about other social networks, like Twitter? Best suggestions will appear in the Open Roadmap.
Update: all game versions, including the free one, are available in the AppStore now.

May 12th, 2009 at 6:37 pm
How do you become a premium member? Come on Apple!! I want my 1.1
May 12th, 2009 at 6:40 pm
Ive just upgraded to 1.1 its in app store now.
But the last few days I have had some big bugs.
When I am out, I launch game to see no labs on product screens but when I go to map they are there but do not appear on product screen until I click on them individually on the map.
sometimes I have to go out of game and into my own GPS app to remind game where I am and then labs and junkies appear, but when I go to buy something it says sorry and all changes and I am back to square one.
The last few days especially today its been very slow on junkie purchasing and the amounts, I get 7 once or twice then down to 4 then down to 1 item at a time for ages. When a friend a 2 miles away always gets 15 thats a bit off.
Please try to fix, I’m losing places fast on cream of crop.
Good work so far though
May 12th, 2009 at 6:46 pm
Premium member just means you purchased a points pack. You can launch the game from the points pack.

1.1 is Awesome!
May 12th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Escobar,
You are still #1 in the State!
May 12th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
Underworld 1.1 Free version is available in the AppStore finally. Go get it.
May 12th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
Escobar-Thanks for the in game LOL. You disappeared from my map screen. Did you move? Just wondering. You were number 2 in Maine.
Andrey-Great job on the upgraded game! Face book tells me I have no friends though. I signed in and launched Facebook and it came back with the message that I don’t have any friends on Facebook. Any thoughts? I posted on your Facebook as well.
Also, after the server maintenance shut down this morning, the labs and junkies doubled their output/buying. That’s great if it was intentional. I like playing the game just fine but am glad at the prospect of shortening the duration of time needed to make subsequent levels. I agree with Escobar though. The maps continue to act strangely. They don’t refresh to my location unless I force it to. Tis problem has existed for quite some time. Also, labs and junkies will frequently appear only in the margins of the map. If I close and reopen the map repeatedly, I can usually get them onto my screen. Just wondering becuase, Like Escobar, I have had days where buying and selling were near impossible and I can feel my rank evaporating.
Thanks Again!
May 12th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
Paulie45, what comes to the “no friends” issue - do you get this message in Profile -> Facebook -> Invite Friends or in the Cream of the Crop? If first, that’s strange and may be a bug, we have to investigate it. If second - this means you have no friends playing the game, you should make them download it
Regarding the “labs & addicts on the black borders” bug - I’m guessing this has happened in 1.0 version? ‘Cause this is one of the bugs fixed in 1.1. Try it and let us know how it goes there.
May 12th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Aye! Thanks for releasing this new version.
a) Can I safely install the point pack without overwriting my existing installation? I dont want the points, just to send some $$ your way.
b) Could you randomize players locations a bit? I don’t really like that other people can see exactly where I am living.
May 12th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
I agree with Taruk, even if it’s a block or two, I don’t like my location pin pointed.
May 12th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
Andrey-Thanks for responding so quickly. With regard to the Facebook bug,it happens regardless of which pathway I use to try and access it. As to the labs/junkies in the borders, it was still happening as of fifteen minutes ago. Hope this helps some.
May 12th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
How do I purchase a points pack a 2nd time. I just want the 4.99 pack so I can rearrange my equipment one last time. When I install it iTunes doesn’t charge me as it treats it like any other prepaid pack. I’ve also bought every other pack other than the $50 one and would hate to waste all that money when I only need 75 uw’s. Please advise andrey. Clearly I’ve been a big supporter as I was using it from day 1 in the beta and have spent $ already. Help!
Thanks
May 13th, 2009 at 2:15 am
Something is seriously wrong with the game, I’m actively trying to sell, bears, mints, lollipops, ice cream, donuts, drops and waffles, when i check my recent deals, i sold waffles at 422am, ice cream at 737am cake at 836am bears at 1039am and nothing the rest of the day until 843PM thats 10 hours that i sold NOTHING, i’ve dropped the price of my waffles by 2000 drops by 1000, and everything else by at least half of what i sold last week and over the weekend. When look at my waffle screen everyone has tons of it… i have 54, the others have 60 - 41 - and 32 which means we are all stockpiling it because it doesn’t sell I’ve been making purchases but I stopped because i have no storage space and i’m not just going to dump and get rid of items that should be selling. I’m ready to trash the game its already slow with sales normally every half hour if you have people waiting 10 hours for a sale you will lose all the goodwill you have been getting from your beta testers and new users… something needs to be done.
May 13th, 2009 at 2:43 am
Used 25 underworld points this morning and haven’t sold a single thing and haven’t been able to buy anything!!!!???? What a complete waste if money that was.
RIP OFF!!! ZERO STAR RATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 13th, 2009 at 2:50 am
Andrey was going to try to post how the new economy works now, but apparently he didn’t’ get time tonight.
In the past we are used to seeing our maps (if you can use your maps without crashing) all scattered. Not all of the junkies/labs appear on the map, but all 8 items are either buying or selling in each tile. That’s not the case anymore.
If you can’t see a waffle junkie/lab in your area, then there is no waffle junkie/lab in the area. You no longer have all 8 items on each tile. It will have 4-7 (or something like that), but it never has all 8 anymore. Andrey said they did this so people would buy from each other more (which is supposed to make trade area more relevant). I’ve also hear Andrey say that buying from other players isn’t practical due to the busts, but maybe they tweaked the bust rate when buying from other players. I’m not sure, cause it’s contradictive.
Anyway, if you don’t have a waffle guy in your area, you aren’t going to sell. They also made it so the area’s don’t refresh as often. I guess so you can move to other areas and fill the supply and demand more easily? It’s like 6-8+ hours before the tiles change. I still haven’t seen mine change today.
For me the worst part are the updates. Mine only seem to be occurring every hour…Andrey claims it’s not that long, but that’s what I’m seeing.
So the game has changed a lot economy wise. They could have saved themselves a lot of headaches by posting the changes before they just changed everything on the hard core player. I like everyone else thought it was just bugged until I had it explained to me. Hopefully tomorrow Andrey gets time to post more explanation.
If you don’t like how it is then send feedback. He said they are waiting to see how the feedback is, so if you don’t like it send them feedback in game, email them, go to the chat room, or post on here. Otherwise it’s going to stay the way it is. I’ve bitched enough for about 10 people, so other people need to step up if they don’t like it.
May 13th, 2009 at 3:14 am
I’ve been posting on the Chat, and Blog and sent a direct message on Twitter and still nothing, I’m afraid to say but I’m ready to give up the game, yes i understand its supposed to simulate a real economy but seriously if i was selling sugar or d*pe and had one sale in 10 hours i would be dead because the Jefe wouldn’t put up with this sh!t.
May 13th, 2009 at 3:59 am
i totally agree, the New economymodel is bullshit. The tiles are not changing for hours and you only sell once an hour. I understand the idee of it but its not working if there are no players around you to sell or BUY at a lower price. Please change back to the old way.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:00 am
If you are having issues you need to email Andrey , and include your location listed on the in game screen (ex Cape Code, Davis County), and your in game screen name.
If people don’t let them know there is an issue, nothing is going to get done. If only one or two people complain, they are going to think it’s an isolate incident, not a server wide cluster @#%# (which it currently is)
May 13th, 2009 at 4:07 am
The new “gameplay” with the less than full 8 computer generated items (lab or junkie) seriously SUCK!!! Especially the LONG LONG periods between updates.
All this without letting players, especially your beta and hardcore guys and gals, know in advance is not cool.
Change it back.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:31 am
Enough is enough.
Deleted.
Waste of money. Leving bad review in app store.
Bye.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:45 am
I’m with xxzone, Hot Lady, and J …………….
This not going good!!
I thought the whole point was for the Dev’s to keep my iPhone IN MY HAND, and constantly checking out Underworld to see what kind of deals were out there and if I sold anything.
If the intervals between tile changes is going to be soo long, then I will start to care less about the game and “write it off” eventually.
Please don’t let this happen!
I was hoping for 10 min intervals between Joy lab owner and addict changes on my tile.
Do the Dev’s not want us to get to the TOP?!?!
May 13th, 2009 at 4:48 am
OOPS!
OOPS!
OOPS!……………..OOPS!
May 13th, 2009 at 5:21 am
The only bonus here is a lot of the top players are the ones complaining, so hopefully that goes a long way in the morning to getting this stuff fixed.
May 13th, 2009 at 5:24 am
Hi, everyone
We have discovered one issue that might cause labs & junkies being lazy in some tiles (many, actually). The bug is going to be fixed as soon as possible!
May 13th, 2009 at 6:28 am
cool hope it dosnt take too long sale are dropping
the creidt crunch is hitting sw/dl hard lol
May 13th, 2009 at 6:45 am
24h, not a single sale
you have to change back the economy mecanism
waiting 24 more hours before deleting the app
you are breaking the whole “addictive power” of the game
May 13th, 2009 at 7:38 am
No sales for over 4 days here
May 13th, 2009 at 8:34 am
I am gutted. I bought underworld points for the 1st time and they have been wasted. Not one sale or purchase in a full day. I’m really gutted and sad. There is too much going wrong for me to keep faith in this any more. That was the last straw I’m afraid.
May 13th, 2009 at 10:26 am
Holy Crap! This was the worst night in game play history. Not one single sale! The same two labs and junkies that were on screen when I went to bed were still there this morning but in the margins and not on the map tile itself. I see Andrey’s post above about a bug causing labs/junkies to be “Lazy” but this is bad. As a bona fide, dedicated game player I am really hoping that this gets sorted soon. Since the upgrade to v1.1 I calculate that I’ve lost at least 1.7MM. Please do something because there’s no way to effectively make up lost ground in this game. Hope to see changes soon…:(
May 13th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Testing…
May 13th, 2009 at 11:30 am
Hi
Have to say that i have the same problems mentioned above:
- no junkies and labs on the map for hours…
- not anymore selling any shrooms since 5 days… (other stuff works quite well, except of coke, sold today first 8 grams for also 3 to 4 days…
- over night I’ve nothing sold… Other times I sold about all my stock in a night…
-same labs on the map for hours, but when I try buying, it says deal no longer available, also when just buying one piece…
Love the game and would like to play it further, bit please correct this error!!! There have been days I’ve sold for over 500k and e.g. In the last 24 hours just sold for 50k…

Hi Andrey,
With SweetDeal 1.0 and 1.1. it takes a long time before the location is updated/refreshed. Sometimes it takes about 10 minutes. It seems to get faster when i close SD and then restart it. I never got this problem in UW. Could you please fix it? That would be so great
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Alberto
May 13th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
I Agree an disagree with the comment
s above… The whole point of the game is to buy and sell like true dealer. You all talk about the economics of the game, when do u really sell hard core amounts in one day(thats if ur not Escobar…IN REAL LIFE!!??????) to argue that the junkies arent buyin off you.(To the Real Life Dealers…Do u really have Junkies buyin off u every 15-45mins??)
. If that was the case i wouldnt be here typin this post, id be on my 20ft Boat snortin candy sticks
from narm.. Lol.. I love ya work Aundrey, keep with the economic times.
May 13th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
I typed that on my iphone after a couple of candys “if ya know wat i mean ” So sorry bout the wording..lol
May 13th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
Dr G. The actual difference is that in real life, the motivation for this is real $. This is a game. People’s attention span needs constant feedbacks.
May 13th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
No sales in more than 24 hours! Sad to say but too much more of this and the games lost all apeel..I like many others on here have worked too hard to hard to get bent over like this! What’s the dilly Andrey?!?!
May 13th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
Just the same 2 sweet addicts on my screen (well, 1 on my screen and one just outside the map)that i’ve had all day today, and still no sales. Heading for a 5th day with no sales
May 13th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
WTF, put back the FUN of the game as it was before the update. Why make a change like that, it is so UNFAIR to players regardless they spent the dollar (like most of us) or not.
Waste of UW points, police protection for 8 hours, but nothing sold for 8 hours, and no labs to buy, so it just a waste, again NOT FUN.
All I know and friends are not going to contribute more dollars to this app, until the game mechanics are put back, put it back DAMNIT.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:10 pm
I’m glad none of my friends have downloaded this game yet!!
They’d be disappointed!
May 13th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
Catdaddy - lucky you… I told my friends about SD as soon as it appeared in the app store, and all 5 of them have stopped playing it because “nothing happens”.
The only reason I am continuing playing is because I am level 18. I am certain if I had just started playing this when it came out in the app store, I would have deleted it by now… This is pretty bad..
May 13th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
Issue. I have had only one or 2 Addicts and no labs for a while now. I have been travailing back and forth between work and there is not any Addicts or labs in some tiles and others only have one or two of them.
What happened. This issue happened once I updated to v1.1
Also the only jabs I see anymore (Rare when I see them) are for the low end items. No high end items for a while now.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
I hope they give us timeline when they will provide the fix, so we are not wasting so much time and effort, and may be waiting for NOTHING.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
I agree with xx and paulie and whatnot. The gameplay has gone so far south in the last few days that I am ready to stop playing. It’s not fun. I hit three tiles a day and am still not making any cash. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change it back Andrey. People are taking the time to come here and complain for a reason.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
hmmmm ok at least i know im not the only one …….. sales have been dire for ages now. I had a fairly good day for once yesterday (first time in weeks) and my hope in the game with all the recent ‘bugs’ was restored, today however im back to hardly any sales……. i like many others have spent real money buying points for protection yet dont get the benefit when there’s nothing for sale and nothing being bought even if i shave upto $2000 off items ……. i hate to complain over such a cool game but like many others im starting to get frustrated and am loosing my well earned position ……… please help quick and try fixing soon ……. btw ….. any ideas on a fix timescale?
kitten
May 13th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
Same issues here. Entertainment value of this game has started to dwindle due to the change in the economics. Please fix this issue.
May 13th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
I don’t want to come on here and bombard you with more of the same comments that everyone else has been posting, so I’ll just say this–
I’ll be happy to continue this game, but until the bugs are all worked out, I’ll probably be spending more time with Enigmo and Aurora Feint.
May 13th, 2009 at 8:44 pm
It Looks Like we are Rolling Again!! WHOO HOO!!!
May 13th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
what you mean Rolling Again! Nothing here has changed since… still the same issues here.
May 13th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
Hi everyone,
Can’t put a big post yet, so I’ll briefly describe the situation here first. What exactly did we change?
- A selection of commodities available in supply or demand on a tile is switching less often now (7-8 hours for now)
- Not all commodity types are available in supply or demand on each tile. Some of them you have to find in other areas - by physically moving or by purchasing it from other dealers. This puts more sense into Trade Area equipment.
- The amount of merchandize produced in labs and demanded by addicts is more now and we are about to increase it even more probably. Moreover, we have fixed the issue with unfair supply distribution on some tiles.
The bugs that we have spotted after rolling out new game economy are fixed now - well, at least the most critical ones. We are still fixing and adjusting some minor stuff based on the feedback we get from you.
I understand the gameplay has changed big time. And it might be kinda hard to adjust to it overnight. But the new economy is more location-oriented and forces dealers to pay attention on the offers from other areas. I have to say, we observe the game a lot and there are plenty of dealers playing in the new economy just fine.
May 13th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
Now, a piece of advice how to survive in the new Underworld.
First of all, since the commodity choice is changing less often now, it hits hard the dealers whose strategy was to sit on one place and make cash only by catching suppyl&demand switching periods. Back then, you could find a lab, pack yourself with a cheap stuff produced by it, and then just price it to the sky waiting for the commodity types to switch and junkies to buy your overpriced stuff. This doesn’t work so well anymore.
Now, when you find there’s a lab producing cheap stuff in your tile, you best two choices are:
- buy it and price fair, so that dealers from other areas could find your offer attractive to purchase
- buy it and travel to other tile when there is a demand for your stuff
Same thing with addicts. Find stuff outside your current tile and find a price that is acceptable for your local addicts.
May 13th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Oh, and one last thing. The world is kinda big, you know. The adjustments & tweaks we make (commodity switch frequency, amount of goods in supply & demand, etc) are not taking world-wide effect immediately.
So please be patient and don’t stop giving us a feedback. We want the game to be fun the same as you do
May 13th, 2009 at 9:37 pm
OK, first, we don’t see much addicts now buying drops or waffles. For high level players, we need more activities with these high level items.
second, when you travel, it does not mean when you see the addict in the tile, you will be able to sell. Because there is no freaking way you will sit there in that place for long and wait till you sold an item.
We are still human and searching for computer generated addicts to sell donuts and waffle is ok, but how long would you wait in that area.
Also, how about the $dollar of UW points to get police protection, if you don’t sell and nothing to buy, then you are just wasting your freaking money, and that is not pretty impressive and can safely say a Ripped Off.
We better see improvement than feeling right now like “oh supporters just deal with it”, coz end of the day, customers still need to be satisfied and then we can recommend more to friends.
May 13th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
WOW! Given all of the feedback, I’d say things in Underworld land pretty much suck! Things on my end haven’t changed and continue to circle the drain. I don’t know squat about programming so I can’t at all speak intelligently about that. But I do understand what fun is. I have aired my share of complaints over the period of time that I’ve been posting here. Some of my commentary has been serious but a bigger portion of it has been very much tongue in cheek. I love taking an ignorant standpoint from time to time, and argue in favor or against it just to try and illustrate how ridiculous something genuinely is.
In this particular instance however, I have to say that there is a serious problem with how the game is currently configured. Given the level and quantity of feed back that mirrors my opinion, this current game scenario should perhaps get some attention. So many players have spent probably hundreds of hours getting to the levels they have achieved. Additionally, many of us have spent some amount of money for enhancements that end up being rendered useless because of how the game has been working. Some of the problems began only with the launch of v1.1 but there are others that have been systemic for quite some time.
I’m sure that I speak for a great many of the other player out there when I say that any effort to remedy the current situation would be greatly appreciated; if not deserved by the beta constituency. Some indication of a plan of action or any words of reassurance would be greatly appreciated by all.
Thanks Much!
May 13th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
I’ve still only got the same 2 labs and same 2 addicts on my map that i had over 17 hours ago
May 13th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
2Put back the FUN !!!:
Comparing to the supply & demand how it used to be, is’t bigger now (about 50-60% increase).
One of the tasks we are working on right now - is making updates faster (each ~10 minutes). We have to do a lot of optimization to make this happen, considering the amount of game locations in the world.
We continue to improve the game every day. Sadly, we can’t do everything overnight
Bear with us.
May 13th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
If you don’t move around a lot, and you were used to sitting in one spot with multiple players having the junkies/labs refresh every 25 minute, you are going to have to adjust your gameplay.
Every player who had no one else in their tile has been playing the game mostly how it is now for a long long time. It made the game unbalanced. Most the high level players play in tiles with 5 or more people, and the other 90% that don’t have players in their tile just had no way to compete.
I love that the quantity of junkies buying/selling has increased, and has never dropped below 10 since the update. I was so sick of the 1 item glitch and that has been fixed.
I’m freaking stoked for 10 minute update intervals. Best advice is to find a corner of your tile around you, and just travel around there.
Also to Paulie45. The mechanics of the game appear to have changed as far as traveling through tiles go. In the past you had to enter a new tile right when the server refresh happened in order to sell to a junkie. This doesn’t seem to be the case any more. It seems junkies now buy from you right when you enter the tile as long as no one has sold to them in the last 25-30 minutes. You can sell a ton more now driving due to this. That’s what i’ve noticed the past 2 days anyways.
Good luck.
May 13th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
You seriously expect us to physically move to a different tile just to effectively play this fucking game? We have lives to live you know!! Some of us work for a living!! A game is meant to pass time, not to dictate your daily actions! If you want to play this whole “location based” theme, then make the fucking tiles smaller and easier for us to realistically move between!
What about your players with disabilities? You gonna tell them that in order for them to compete they’ll have to get in their wheelchair and roll to a different tile? How are players like Apu (Alamitos, Santa Clara County, California, United States) supposed to compete? He’s mentally and physically challenged!! I bought over $1mil of his stock just to help him gain rank…the poor little guy was ecstatic about it for a week! What’s he gonna do now?
None of this anger and hostility from all the loyal players would have came out like this if you didn’t make such dramatic changes to the game. This is definitely not the game I played when it was in cydia, nor in appstore! This update turned this into an entirely different game, if you can call it a game anymore…
May 13th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
You’re fucking lucky that I’m a sucker and will continue to play no matter what! Sucks for the cripples though!
Btw, the idea of buying from other players is fucking dumb! You got us so used to selling at such high prices that no one will sell cheap now! And even if they do, it will be very minimal profit being made! Bad idea all around….
I need another vicodin…brb
May 13th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
I agree with you KDizzle… This game(!) sucks now… It’s compleely unplayable now… Seems I’ve wasted so many hours of my time and money buying UW points for a game that I can no longer progress in. Thanks.
May 13th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
I agree with K-Dizzle and Others. I do not want to drive around in my car wasting gas just to play. (Think Green) The only time I have to play was at work or at home. I can’t worry about buying and selling while I drive home.
I liked I could set my phone up at work and check it every so often and buy what I could and sell it once I got home. Now noting changes at my location. Only can buy low items, No high items available anymore.
I would like old style game play back with the new updates to tiles and labs.
PPPPPPLLLLLLEEEEEEESSSSSSSSEEEEEEEE……..
May 13th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Im seconding K-Dizzle and rest of players here. If you are making this change, I agree, there should be no discrimination to people with physical activities, or they can’t play this game.
Also, if you will change economy, then make the high level items to appear frequently as to us playing this game long time find the game NOT FUN when we are back selling gummies and mints.
We do not see this as an improvement of the game, but a decline to customer satisfaction.
Something still need to be done.

My my, what a resistance to change illustrated by these comments. Calm down people, it’s just a game. And a very interesting game play has been developed in fact. There is no way andrey cum suis are forcing you to physically drive around just to make deals. The new strategy is: figure out what’s in demand on your tile and buy this remotely from human players from other tiles. Other way around: try to sell local produce to remote players and you both profit. This is what a market is about.
Note the fact that a-steroids has added 50% supply and demand. This means that in total, there’s 50% more profit to be made. If only you can adapt to the new strategy of sharing profit with other players…
G’luck everyone on kicking my butt on level 20…
May 13th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
2 Taruk
Well you may be happy that the it will screw us now, because we will not be able to kick your butt anymore at level 20, because of the freaking change in the game mechanics
Upgrades supposed to improve the game as well as improve the fun for players and keep the customers pump up to continue supporting the game, like rest of other apps out there when they send upgrades
May 13th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
Taruk: Easy for you to say when you work on a train… You get to travel as your job!! Thanks to the changes, you’ll always be #1… unless you decide to stop playing!
Anyone else: If they really want to make this change, make it fair by resetting everyones rank and money to 0!!! Don’t just make drastic changes after people have gained such rank…. How are the lower lvls to catch up now?
May 13th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Think about poor lil handicapped Apu!!! For his sake!
May 13th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
What Would Jesus Do?
You know Jesus right? The dude that sells strawberries on the corner? Jesus Ramirez? Aaah, forget it!
May 13th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
I must admit that i like the idea of people reselling the stuff to other dealers in order to support eachother, however there should have been an announcement before via messaging that you reach all players. I tried the whole day to sell at much lower prices than before but nearly nobody bought some candys except the junkies… So at the end i am sitting between 2 tiles with a demand on lowprice things and my pokets full of highquality stuff. Fun is lost at the moment and getting taruk nearly impossible..
May 13th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
k all i can say Put back the FUN !!! so we can at least possibly go closer to Taruk
instead of impossible
May 13th, 2009 at 11:47 pm
I had about 16 hours with no sales, but about an hour ago things picked back up and seem to be pretty close to what they were before the 1.1 update.
Let’s see what happens.
May 14th, 2009 at 12:04 am
So I see I’m not the only one who is really pissed off…
First I spent (real) money to rearrange - more police evasion and a bit less trade area. Then I noticed I couldn’t sell or buy anything, so I rearranged again to level 5 trade area only to see that everything remains the same. I wasted a lot of money, also for police protection where nothing was worth to protect.
Have you just become greedy so people throw out their money for nothing? You’ll loose a big part of your loyal customers, if not all of the top players below Taruk, who otherwise would be happy to reward you some $. And you won’t get new customers because they’re bored. If that’s your kind of economy, you wouldn’t be very good in your own game since it’s all about economy.
I really regret spending cash for UW points. UW:SD 1.0 was so much fun. Against my expectations I even think the candy theme is nice since it is actually more realistic then before (you never use real drug names if you don’t have the privacy), but right now it sucks big time.
Don’t improve the gameplay, it was just fine for all before as you can read in the comments. Rather concentrate in improving the game itself. If the gameplay won’t improve massively (hint again: the easiest way is to reverse it to what it was), i’ll stop playing as well.
I cant ask for my money back, so enjoy it, you won’t get any more
So, steam is out for the moment…
May 14th, 2009 at 12:14 am
yep. game seems to work pretty well again.big thx for putting the fun back into this game so quickly.
May 14th, 2009 at 12:28 am
WTF are you talking about? Gameplay still fucking sucks! Only ones not really complaining are the ones who travel between multiple tiles!
I live and work on the same tile… I happen to live on the edge of my tile and my gym is on the other tile so I’m gonna test out this fucking location based crap and see if it’s true! And even if it works out, it still fucking sucks bcuz now I will only make sales by going to the gym!! Good excuse to go work out but bad for “fun” gameplay!
May 14th, 2009 at 12:42 am
The issue you all have with the tile not refreshing every server update has always been a bug. It wasn’t supposed to do that. If you were ever in a tile by yourself you saw that most other people had to wait 6-8 hours for their tile to refresh, or travel to another tile.
The only people I see complaining at this point are people who had multiple people on their tile, and had an unfair advantage over the majority of the people. Is it coincidence that most of the top 10 are people who have been playing with other people in their tile? No it’s not. If they didn’t make this change there was no way in hell the majority of players could compete. It was a completely unfair advantage, and I’m glad it was changed. Now everyone is on an even playing field.
Flame away!
May 14th, 2009 at 12:50 am
I want to add that K-Dizzles compromise of making the tiles smaller in distance is an excellent idea, and I hope Andrey & the game take that into consideration. Though it may place more load on the server now that I think about it. They would effectively be tripling/quadrupling the tile quantity.
I would love to be able to walk a few blocks to get to a new tile, and the location based theme would still be intact.
May 14th, 2009 at 1:13 am
Taruk-You would do well to take a class in microeconomics. Your assumption about a new style of game play presupposes actual market conditions that don’t exist. It all still comes down to overall supply and overall demand. The only way for the game to work is by ultimately selling to a junkie. If you don’t take consumer goods out of the game in some way, there would be no point in the labs continuing to produce. Competition for goods between players would become moot. The only way that the player to player sales scenario works is if there are so many players at a time, on any given map tile, that the junkies can’t keep up with supply. The players are forced to lower the price of goods they hold in hopes that others will buy them and export them to other tiles for ultimate consumption by junkies. There are two distinct problems with your hypothesis. The first is that there aren’t enough players in any given area at any given time to accomplish this. The second is visibility. Unfortunately, it really is a game of being a single intermediary between labs and junkies at this point in time. I will lower my price for people on my play screen who are not on my map tile if they have demand and no supply. They do the same for me as well. This gets product out of my area without the need for travel but it is not consistent enough to use as a significant source of income in game. The rate of production/consumption is slow enough that all involved would have to stay in game continuously just like a real commodities trader. Also, any overlap in junkies obviates the need to sell to another player at a discount. Lastly, my player list is never filled up. At any given time there are only one or two other players I can see and half the time they can’t see me. If we can’t see each other we can’t trade. The idea of sharing profit with other players is all well and good but easier said than accomplished. If you’re number one it seems easy be be smug about strategy. While you currently have quite a lead on the rest of us, let’s hope you don’t suffer from some of the same things the rest of us have been. Don’t forget that where you live makes a huge difference in the ability to sell quickly and consistently in this game. If you live in a major metropolitan area or travel great distances every day, as I believe you do, it is not your superior game playing ability that has put you in the lead. It is simply a matter or circumstance. With great power comes greater responsibility. Humility is a wonderful trait to exercise from time to time. With this said, congrats on being number one but I still remember when Monty was…
May 14th, 2009 at 1:39 am
The amount of time for the labs to rotate needs to come way down.
Its good they produce more but. Even with only 2 labs on my map producing 20 every 30 min I can fill up max carry space in a hour and a half, then I have to wait the other 6 hours and rely on the right junkies to turn up, and if I am really lucky and the right ones appear on my tile, they will clean me out in the same time, so another wait for hours. If the junkies are in demand of other items then I will sell nothing for the best part of the day and I can’t buy any different items coz I’m still full from before.
Also I can understand you want more trading between players, But I feel there are not enough links to bring it full circle.
If I buy a waffle for $2000 and sell to another player for $3000 / $4000 and he wants to earn on it so sell for $5000 / $6000 no other player will buy it off him coz the amount they will have to sell at will be too much for fourth player in that chain and the the junkies have a limit as to how much they will pay too.
May 14th, 2009 at 1:46 am
Paragraphs are your friend!
May 14th, 2009 at 1:56 am
oh so now we actually have to go to different areas of town? man it must really suck for the handicapped or people with no transportation in mass transit unfriendly city. or more importantly, people like me who don’t go out very much. in fact the times i am out, i am with friends and i don’t think they would like it if i was always trying to play while hanging out! boo!
May 14th, 2009 at 2:06 am
been to 6 different tiles in less than 15 mins.
No one buying srooms or coke. Nice.
I am stock full of the stuff and no junkies. Hmmm…
Agreed with Paulie45 and Escobar.
Please change it back or tweek it so that less is demanded on player to player trades.
May 14th, 2009 at 3:02 am
what the heck is this travel mechanic, very lame, im an ipod user and only rely on wifi here at home to play the game.
I understood apple apps are for iphone and ipod touch, this is so unfair for us ipod users. when people have ipod like me, it is no longer interesting as we only play at home and will never most of the time can play it somewhere else.
we are also customers and should be considered to make good sales even if we cannot travel.
this game is now became lame.
May 14th, 2009 at 3:55 am
paulie45,
Why you gotta copy what I say? You think I wouldn’t notice just cuz you took my exact posts and rephrased it a lil? =) Good fucking job mate!! Finally someone on the same page as me…
May 14th, 2009 at 3:59 am
Shoe: same as what I said about paulie, except I’ll add that I’ve fallen in love with you!
May 14th, 2009 at 4:00 am
Hey!!! That’s not the smiley I wanted… Which is the one sending kisses? LOL
May 14th, 2009 at 4:06 am
im at home using WIFI with my ipod, nothing is showing up, should i travel to get sales… then thats insane because i will not be able to connect anywhere except here at home with my wifi… all i see is selling bears and mints, addicts buying cake, lollipop and bears
freaking stupid game, used to be really good game
May 14th, 2009 at 4:54 am
I think I’m gonna down grade all my upgrades then auction off all my UW cash on eBay…. The game has evolved for the worse… I used to check my game every 5 minutes even though I knew It refreshed every 15mins (in UWDL)…. Even after the launch of UWSD, I would check every 10mins even though it refreshed every 15-25mins… Now it’s fucking useless to even check cuz almost nothing gets sold… And that BS about being “location based” is a fucking flop! I spent 1.5 hours on an adjacent tile (was at the gym), and I barely sold anything… Even spent an additional hour on another tile (pigging out at El Pollo Loco), and didn’t sell shit!! Came back home and checked again, barely sold anything…
The bidding will start at $5.00 USD, and will have a reserve… I’ll post the ebay link as soon I get it…
May 14th, 2009 at 5:34 am
How can you sell your points when they’re specific to your device?
May 14th, 2009 at 5:45 am
Wow this coming from MR “I’ll play it till everyone one else quits”. I hope they don’t fold and go back to how it was, cause the whole point from the start was to have it location based. People are going apeshit now for the one thing that was changed that was a bug.
The area was never supposed to refresh every 20 minutes like it used to. It makes it a completely different game when it does that, and it make the location based concept worthless…which was the whole concept of the game from the get go.
May 14th, 2009 at 6:11 am
5 days, still no sales.
iPod touch user = wi-fi = can’t move around.
Game has become pointless for me to play = retired from game.
Shame, used to be an enjoyable game.
May 14th, 2009 at 7:32 am
My issue is that my strategy for equipment purchase was based on a much higher frequency of sales. While I have full police protection, my tradeable items are only at level 1. With the changes, I’ve basically shot myself in the foot - not much use in having a private law firm when I’m only selling 3 pieces of cake every 24 hours. How about 75 free uw points for all so I can re-jigger my equipment? Only fair as the game was re-jiggered!
May 14th, 2009 at 7:59 am
Poor little Apu…. Lollfkfjkdjdhdhdhdhhsyetgwsghahahahaha!
May 14th, 2009 at 8:33 am
theconfuzed1, you must be confuzed cuz I said UW cash, not UW points…
May 14th, 2009 at 8:35 am
Viva La Revolution!
May 14th, 2009 at 9:43 am
FYI- Overnight last night, I sold one ice cream in 8.5 hours.
May 14th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Well, I now don’t know anyone in my city that is playing this game anymore. I’m waiting to see what the next announcement from the UW team says before giving up myself. If the next announcement doesn’t say that it is going back to how it was, there’s no point in me playing anymore. I’m kind of angry and sad. What a waste.
May 14th, 2009 at 10:11 am
So basically if you are lucky you can make some sales from your home if it’s well located, if you are unlucky like me, you can’t sell anything from your house except low price items.. not very fair especially for wifi users :/
May 14th, 2009 at 11:27 am
Changes are slowing the game really down.
Devs must find a way to make the game more fast.
THATS ALL. Do ist just more fast…
May 14th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Hm, so I don’t have to stop playing, thegame stopped by itself. Goodbye Underworld
It was fun, too bad your time is over so quickly.
Nevertheless, I expect you to give me back at least the 150 points I wasted for the rerearranging as described in comment #7609, since that action was based on a bug that seems to be a feature. I may never be able to use them, but they still belong to me, I paid for them. And maybe some time you decide to make the game again playable and fun.
Many people tried to compare UW with the real world, saying that customers always go to the cheapest dealer, but that’s not true. You go to the dealer with the best quality and a reasonable price. If the quality fades to zero, nobody will come back. That’s happening with the game.
Angry, sad, what a waste. That’s what I’m thinking as well.
May 14th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
FUN IS BACK!!!
I hate to admit with you guys, the FUN IS BACK!!!
Thought I post some credits here, where credit is due to the hard work done by Andrey to fix this matter.
The labs and addicts are more active now in our area, the mechanics may not be the same but there are sure activities happening now. Also, we kinda like the increase in supply and demand, so even if we start selling a bit lower price than before, the demand of addicts for total number is higher, so in an essence is almost equal to what it used to be before.
The interval of appearance of addicts and labs is better now after the fix yesterday.
So Andrey, Kudos for the fix, and specially Kudos for listening to your customer.
Back in business here you guys, and hope this will not happen again.
May 14th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
I read the comments for two days now. i have the same problems to sell anything because i got my home, my friends, all markets i need and working in the same tile! What should i do? Travel around? I don’t need to do this.
Please change it back!!!
May 14th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
I hate the location based idea. It is unfair to people that dont have an iPhone. Please remember many of us using the software are ITouch users.
I do not have access to wiifi all day, the only time I have access is at home where I tend to play the game.
To be honest many of you developers are missing this point. NOT ALL OF US WHO USE YOUR SOFTWARE ARE USING IPHONES!!!!.
May 14th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
I see that you want us to move around. In my prior post I explained why this is a bad idea.
You are giving an unfair advantage to the iPhone users and slighting us itouch users who are not constantly on.
It is your game, it was a good game, however not being able to sell stuff for days at a time makes the game useless to me.
I dont have WIFI access everywhere I go.
As I never payed anything for the software I have nothing to be upset about. However, I am upset as this was one game I liked to play while watching TV.
Thanks for the times.
May 14th, 2009 at 4:02 pm
Map feature not working now!
Just “Loading…” (Note: I am on wifi)
May 14th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
Well Andrey, I still do agree with the location/moving idea, this need improvement because it would be really unfair to WIFI customers, and I do feel their pain when it comes to playing at home only.
We do appreciate listening to customers input and what customers think, than what the developers think is good for customer.
May 14th, 2009 at 4:29 pm
All the wifi people upset are just proving their point. They want people to try to buy from each other. If you can’t move stuff in your area set it lower that you usually would. If everyone gets used to doing that, people can buy from them, and sell it in their area.
It’s never going to work unless people start trying it.
They shoudl probably give everyone a free re-spec though, since it’s changed so drastically. That way if you are a wifi user, you can put more points in your trade area.
May 14th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
Well if development/enhancement needs to be done moving forward, we hope it does go back to the issue we just have.
Andrey, if it is working the way it was right now, then don’t ruin the fun for us when there is future updates.
May 14th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
oh yea thank you, and hope everyone starts to get activities in their area. We also like the 10 minutes refresh of labs and addicts, it is worthit again to buy /spend UW points to police protection, especially the 1 hour 5 UW points.
May 14th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
Finally could buy some waffles
But I still want my 150 pts back. In case you don’t read this, I’ll write you a mail Andrey.
May 14th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Well, what to say when you read 2 dazys of comments from the tops players saying that the upgrade of the mechanism sucks…
I travel a lot due my work so the strategy you guys want to deploy, I have to say, does not work. I’m moving from different cities and different countries in short periods of time and this was nice with the old mechnism….last night all I sold was 3 mints!! Come on, no other player in the area I am right now so with bears and mints at 3 unit every 12hours, do the math and you’ll see how long I’ll have to play to get the 6MM for the next upgrade!
Sorry to say guys, if you want more people to play (I guess that’s the objective with the Facebook feature right?)fix it because today this game is BOARING!!!
May 14th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
I’d suggest that asteroids split their game in a conventional boring one for iPod users and an exciting one that utilizes one of the biggest revolutions in gaming technology: location awareness. It would be silly to freeze innovation and cut out this awesome feature just because some people have old equipment. In 2 years every popular mobile game will be based on gps/3g.
For now, if I were asteroids I’d revert the new economy to silence the angry mob and prevent bad appstore ratings, and then introduce the new model more gradually and slightly better balanced.
With regard to auctioning off UW money: any bids on my 50+ million?
May 14th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
To : Taruk Izamah
Old equipment? My device is a Generation 2 iPodTouch. Do not consider it old equipment.
Did not get the phone as I hate ATT and refuse to ever use service from them again.
May 14th, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Andrey,
The new economy is much better, it forces inter-user interaction, since if I have 200donuts and can’t find junkies, I can sell them for cheap to someone else who knows where the junkies are.
This is how things should work. The previous economy was mostly a single player game with an online scoreboard. It was pretty pointless, mostly random, etc.
I think it’s getting better, and people need to learn and adapt.
May 14th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Well its better as long as the frequent activities stay the same, coz this is the only way players are pumped and not bored
so again please dont change it again, any minor tweaks again may ruin the entire customers gameplay
Like number of labs, addicts, time intervals, rotations, thse are all working to our satisfaction right now in our area, so please please keep listening to us customers this is OK and FUN this way
May 14th, 2009 at 7:06 pm
I have got junkies demanding products I have got but they are not buying anything its been 2 hours.
The game is very low when on Wi-Fi but when I am moving around there is loads of activity.
May 14th, 2009 at 7:16 pm
Gepeto
I agree that it is better. However as the game is marketed to the itouch as well as the iphone, they need to make sure that the iphone users are not given an advantage over the more stationary itouch users.
This is my largest issue with the way it is working now. A balance needs to be reached.
May 14th, 2009 at 8:05 pm
I’m kool with the change if they were to reset everyones ranks/money/upgrades to zero! That’s the only way to make it fair… And smaller tiles!
At the current rate, no one will ever catch up to taruk!!
May 14th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
hey feel like such a noob bit you guys are always talking about tiles?? WTF are tiles on the game?? My map hardly ever changes.
May 14th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Finally got new addicts on my map, 6 on there right now, so that side of things seems better again now.
Only problem now is that they are hardly buying anyhing no matter how much i lower my prices. I’m certainly not gonna sell at a loss.
May 14th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
Bugsy, you seem right, we noticed it just about 3 hours ago, addict is buying when it is the low items, like bears mints cakes lolli ice donut, but it seems not buying much of the drops and waffles even there is a junkie showing buying drops or waffles.
Andrey, is there something being tweak at present, it used to be working earlier, junkies are buying drops and waffles when I made comments earlier that it is fun again.
May 14th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
They pretty much changed it back to how it was. Only diff is all the junkies buy a set amount instead of inflated ammounts for multiple tiles.
I liked the changes, but the junkies labs toggling every update or two is just stupid. I’m buying from one guys, and then selling back to him for an inflated price an hour later.
This way is fine, but it seems to go against what you were aiming for. I made almost 2m today, so whatever.
May 14th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
its pretty much back the way it was before, that means FUN is BACK!!! yeah baby
May 15th, 2009 at 12:11 am
Taruk Izamah: old Equipment? The iTouch is not a mobile phone, off course it does not have 3G… But well, you’re the expert on innovation and technology. Making the game only playable for people who time to roam around the whole day is silly. Maybe some day you’ll have a job and will understand what we’re all talking about.
With regard to auctioning off UW money: no one wants your money :-p
Being #1 and bragging about it like you do doesn’t make you the best, just arrogant.
May 15th, 2009 at 12:12 am
Ah, by the way, welcome back UW
May 15th, 2009 at 4:15 am
@ Guru–
Just for the record, it is possible to be arrogant, and still be the best too.
For those who don’t think it’s fair that you’ll never catch up to the top, such is life. You think that in real life, every school yard pusher has an equal opportunity to be the next godfather? Yeah right.
May 15th, 2009 at 8:08 am
Underworld maintenance shut down. Back in ~30 minutes.
May 15th, 2009 at 8:55 am
What is wrong with this game I haven’t sold anything in 5 days
May 15th, 2009 at 1:01 pm
TILES…???!?!??!? WTF are TILES. SOME ONE REPLY
May 15th, 2009 at 1:20 pm
Chunk - if you go to your map screen, the area that you see there is a tile. If you move to another area, then what you see on the map screen is another tile…
Each tile has it’s own junkies and labs…
May 15th, 2009 at 1:28 pm
I feel the same as most other complaints here I see 3-5 tiles a day as much as75 miles apart and every junkie I see is for something I don’t have or see a profit for seriously level 17 isn’t worried about level 1 items the maps still are showing items outside the tile love rhe game when it functions …………. Here’s is all my punctuation for my run on sentence
May 15th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
CHUNK’, mo is right. To get more details, tap on the question mark icon in the top right corner of the offers screen, then find Game Help section.
May 15th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Things looked to be running smoothly again earlier, but now back to nothing selling and nothing changing on the map.
Without sounding sarcastic, is Underworld going to be aimed at I-Phone users now rather than I-phone AND I-pod touch users? ‘Cos if that is the case then i may as well stop playing now and delete it rather than spend anymore time trying to progress in it (I’ve already slipped down 2 places on Cream of the Crop due to the recent changes).
May 15th, 2009 at 3:20 pm
I have iPhone and am not selling either so I don’t think it’s just iPod
May 15th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
Not sure what happenned in the early maintenance but yesterday there was nobody in the area, so I was alone in the offers view, this morning, BOOM I can see people from Miami to Chile. That’s good and can make the economy flow but I’m back to no sales….and I believe the people around are in the same mood, I mean, there are people with piles of hundreds of waffles and drops….
Anyone, anything?
tks
May 15th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
2MRS
Hey I believe this us opportunity to interact more with other players.
Game wise, we need other dealers outside our area to make deals and asked them to supply the items we need in our area when there is demand.
My thoughts are, this is good, but could be better if we can see more as like most said, it would take a bit of wait to make sell before you can get supply or if other players do not want to supply you with lesser price. Thus, there will be no sale in 8 hours, specially to ipod touch customers where they rely on WIFI only.
May 15th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
to FUN is BACK!!
You are right and I agree, in fact I decreased my prices so other users can make this wheel move and we can have the fun back, although I believe they are facing the same as I do, 10 hours without any change on the tile, it’s impossible to push the quantities we all have in the hands right now. So even if I have a low price the others won’t buy from me because they can’t sell it.
I mean to make the whole thing fun they need to take the mechanism all in one direction. Increasing the labs quantities was great, although the amounts you can carry are the same and the amounts the addicts were buying in the last 3 days are low, so the entire “mass balance” does not make sense. Right now I can see at least 3 users with more than 100 waffles and drops for the same time I’m not selling anything and changing the price won’t make any effect if no addicts are buying.
Anyway, let’s see how the thing goes…
Tks, FUN is BACK!!
See ya

Andrey, can the interval of addicts/labs refresh lessen to maybe 3-5 hours? I think 8 hours is a long wait and also, the police protections UW 5 points (1hr) and 10 points (8 hours) will render useless.
Feedback please.

seriously when I go buy my “weed” I don’t sit near his house 5 hours waiting for him to change his prices cause guess what not haPpening. i knew what it was last time I went to him that’s why I’m at his place again if he does jack up the price fuck him I’m leaving that is what needs to happen with these junkies:
if your price is too high they leave
If your price is average they buy average amount
If your price is low they buy big amount
just like real life

First and foremost this is a game, its supposed to be fun not work, by making it a requirement to travel tiles is unfair to everyone, not just iTouch users, but to people who work (real jobs) for a living.
“- A selection of commodities available in supply or demand on a tile is switching less often now (7-8 hours for now)”
Like most people I work for from 8am-5pm so i’m stationary for 9 hours, during that 9 hour period i’m buying on my tile but NOT selling anything. The server does a refresh addicts start buying, It’s now time for me to leave work, I’m not staying late just because the addicts have started to buy. No one would do that to play a fucking GAME…
As I leave work I travel to a new tile. The problem is that tile has changed as well and low and behold that tile is now reflective of the tile that I sat on for 8 fucking hours, so now i’m stuck with the same sugar/drugs for another 7-8 hours because the dealers and addicts are NOT buying the items i have been stockpiling for the last fucking 9 hours, their needs are not based on what i have so for a full day i’ve only bought and not sold.
Do they expect us to just dump everything we had stockpiled for 8 hours for nothing? Whatever happened to buy low sell high? I’m sure like me, most players are not buying for anything more than what the dealer is selling for, so if a dealer is selling for 15 i’m not buying it at 20 i will wait for the dealer to reappear because i don’t want to buy from a player and up their trade we are competitors not business partners. I’ve maxed out my carry space i have 170/170 filled when i leave work today, do you really expect me to dump everything the thousands i have spent just to start buying and selling on my new tile? Or do i wait until i’m at work the next morning and hope that now i can sell the items that i’ve held onto for what is now 24 hours?
Again this is a game, it’s supposed to be enjoyable this game is now WORK. I won’t delete it just yet because I loved the old game mechanics, I hope you guys reconsider these changes.

170 waffles / Coke on sale $4500 and no sales still.
May 15th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Just like what happened to me yesterday… my tile changed and now i can buy drops, but no one is buying them they want waffles but i have none to sell, I’m not buying from my competition at 5857 and then sell them to junkies for 5999 thats buying high and selling higher…. seriously fix this game, the items i have bought over the last 7 hours are now not being sold after the tile refresh… I will play over the weekend, but if this isn’t fixed/resolved over the weekend, I’m done with the game and back to imob/imafia/imobsters and all the other cloned games.
Sad to see a great game go to shit in such a short timeframe.
May 15th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
This is a wild new twist on the game. I’ve got over 170 waffles! They KEEP selling in Bulk to junkies that are not even on my tile! Some times for $7,000!
I’ve dumped over 40 ice creams at once to buy more waffles!! ……And a Great Move that was!
I also dropped the price of 77 Drops to $2,270 hoping I could sell to another player and move them, but a Damn Junkie bought them so fast I couldn’t move the price back up.
Now, This is FUN!
…………………………………………………………………………………………………….
a few weeks ago, I had a few toddies and thought it would be nice of me to buy 19 (I think it was McLoviin’s) gummies for $9,999 each!
I don’t guess he appreciated it, cause he didn’t say thank you.
So, I’m not helping out anyone else, and I’m won’t play when I have had a few Brewskies!
Cheers~

May 15th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
@ Cat Daddy, enjoy it while you can, just hope you don’t end up stuck on the refresh and have 170 waffles that you can’t get rid of for a week. There are guys on my trade block that have had upwards of 100 waffles for 3 days now.
May 15th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Man I wish I could move just a few waffles. Still no sales and there was a junkie on my screen. I had them priced 4500 to 5700. I tried many different prices and i never sold any of them.
I am the only one on my tile and i still can’t sell.
@andrey
Location: Van Nuys, CA USA (Cross Streets in tile: Oxnard & Kester)
May 15th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
I’ve been traveling through 4-5 tiles all day, and I’ve notice that sometimes tiles get stuck. I can continue to buy/sell in all the other, but one of the tiles definatly got stuck and stopped buying/selling anything for hours.
May 16th, 2009 at 5:28 am
I’ve noticed that sometimes, the city in the game fails to change, when I drive to a new city in real life. And then sometimes the city changes, but the wrong county is displayed!
May 16th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
NO SALES ……. Boo ……. I need 10 more UW POINTS to rearrange my studff I already added 3 of my facebook Buddy and I still haven’t got any UV POINTS. like it says. (they think this game is a waste of time I told them not when your making money ……) any help on. Retreiving the points ???
May 16th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
CHUNK’, friends have to join the game and connect their accounts to Facebook, then you get the points.
May 16th, 2009 at 2:45 pm
Andrey any news why the junkies are lazy again?
Also, interval of junkies refresh seems 24 hrs, any fix?
May 16th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
something i noticed from day 1 of playing this game is that there are no users on my tile except for the lab owners and junkies which are computer generates and all human players are in the black border. does this mean that i can choose the selling price regardless of the other uses and still sell without actually under sell?
May 16th, 2009 at 8:15 pm
Please, please, fix the tiles in the Nazeing, Essex area….. only bear and mint addicts here for the whole day
May 17th, 2009 at 8:12 am
Buy from other dealers..?
I’m not in this to help my competition out.. I mean I dont mind now and then buying from newcomers, but that’s only to give them a head start.. Once their feet are wet, they become just another pesky dealer that needs to stay below me.
I travel at least 2/3 tiles every other day.. I’m still not earning a decent amount of cash. It’s been a week & I’m still struggling to make a mil.
:-/, I’m losing interest in the game fast.
May 17th, 2009 at 9:44 am
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
NO SALES FOR 36 HOURS…
MONEY WASTED ON UNDERWORLD POINTS DUE TO NO JUNKIES BUYING OR LABS SELLING…
A MONTH OF FRUSTRATION BECAUSE OF DODGY SERVER/PROGRAMMING ISSUES…
Well, bye bye… This game is being deleted. I’m level 18. Anybody want my profile? Just say.
Bye
May 17th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Yea im at 29 hours without a sale and prices are low. I am thinking of deleting also, really frustrated now hope this gets fixed it was a fun game but not anymore.
May 17th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
Andrey u really need to shorten the junkies refresh seems 8-12 hrs is long wait
Reply/feedback pls!!!!!!!!!
May 17th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
8 to 12 hours? Still practically 24 hours last few days before my addicts change
May 17th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Well
I got the new economy, 12 hours to refresh the tile and the need of buying from others to make sales happen. That means u need to talk a lot with the people around u and that have the labs for your junkies. Basically share the profit. Indeed, in 2 days I did 5MM on sales.
The prblem is that the things are getting worse, 2 nights ago I found a guy with waffles/coke lab but no junkies, he was buying at 2k and selling at 4.6k and I could push to my junkies at 7k, fair enough. Yesterday and today I have the same situation, junkies but no lab, although the junkies are not buying even at 5k. If this persist the market will stuck again. I wont waste time to make 500 of profit!
Please, we players need some attention!!!!
Tks
May 17th, 2009 at 5:20 pm
That is a great point MRS. I have been lucky enough to find tiles selling for 7k waffles, but if it was under 5k (which it rarely does, but it happens), then the option to buy from other players is limited unless you can message them and explain the situation and get them to lower it. That’s what I’ve been trying to do.
May 17th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
message me anytime I will lower my prices for Anyone
May 17th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
Made the Deals of my life the last 24 hours. New economy is great!!
May 17th, 2009 at 8:21 pm
Crap, I got busted from rank #1. This means someone else is making more money than me (2-4 million/day), apparently some people got the touch of the new economy
Time to skip some sleep..
May 17th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
2-4 milions? lol i can’t even make 5k a day, Sigh.
May 17th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
Andrey. I invited ElPollo in. Bahia trailer villa, orange county California . He logged on with his facebook. And he still doesn’t have me as. A buddy and I invited him 5 times and nothing . I want my. Points. .
May 17th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
On The Up
I’m starting to like the new economy having to message other players and make links. I’ve made 2.5m today the most in one day so far for me and 2m of it was from sitting indoors so ipod touch players can’t moan really. Get Messaging each other!
May 18th, 2009 at 12:05 am
That’s it 100%. If people start working with each other, you are going to make more money than ever. If someone is willing to buy from you every update, or even every other update, you are going to make bank if you lower your price so you both are making the same amount.
It may seem weird to lower your prices so much, but if you are buying and selling the same stuff every 15 min, you are going to make bank moving quantity.
May 18th, 2009 at 6:15 am
yup yup New economy rocks just needs peoeple to relise they have to work toghther then its all gravy lol
May 18th, 2009 at 6:36 am
I just made a bunch tonight, by doing just that. I sent out a few messages, to those who had what my junkies want, and I told them that I will sell cheap to them what is being produced in my tile. Those who responded, went along, and we all benefited by making extra sales.
May 18th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Finally got a feel for the new economy =].. I am making a great deal of cash now, just made 2MIL yesterday. Makes me feel bad for those Touch users who can’t move around to find labs/junkies.
May 18th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
anyone know how long it takes andrey to move an account to a new phone after you email him?
May 18th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
Never Mind. Thanks andrey. Should have waited a few more mins.
May 18th, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Albe, I just did it, check your email. Sorry for a bit of delay
May 18th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
This game is so much better now, much more interesting now we have to talk to each other. And now I’m making millions.
The sooner the rest of the tight people realize that they will make more money buy lowering price and splitting profit.
May 18th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Escobar,
Hit me up! I’m with you on this!!
______________________________________________________________________________
Does anyone have any insight to give on how we all work together?
I’m selling Drops/Shrooms for $1,500
I figure someone can buy them from me, and sell them for double the price as I have. I do fluctuate my price and raise it when junkies come into my tile.
No one has responded to my messages I send them to buy now at the low price.
I have had Drop/Shroom labs ALL DAY LONG ! I can get you 170 at a time if you want!
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!
Cheers~
May 18th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
I would like to see a button to send a message to all I can see listed under each (CANDY) offer.
New lab is making me want to dump a lot of goods!
It takes time to message all 5 people.
May 18th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
I check Underworld at least once every 10-15 mins.
I guess others are not playing as often as me.
May 18th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
keep in mind that if you have to spend more for items, it us a bigger risk, as busts are a lot costlier. With that in mind, it’s fair to split profit 60/40 or even 30/70%
May 18th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
Discount / Cheap / Money Maker
Plenty of room here to make money, buy my low price stuff and sell higher.
Selling
Ice Cream/Ecstacy $446 - Qty:73
Donuts/LSD $740 - Qty:97
May 18th, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Albe,
How fast is it moving?
I had drops at $1,200 and nobody was buying.
Thanks to the junkies, they are now selling.
WE NEED SOME GROUP PARTICIPATION!!
May 18th, 2009 at 11:46 pm
Still think economy sucks but if it’s all we have then the developers need to enable a faster way to communicate. Or even better yet some type of indication of which players are online so we aren’t messaging people who are offline to set up deals.
May 19th, 2009 at 2:03 am
I have been communicating with people, to make my beat effort with the new economy.
Here are a few things that I have learned:
If you are buying from a dealer, your risk is greater–see my post above.
Just because you can see them, doesn’t mean that they can see you. I bought forty donuts for the specific purpose of “wholesaling” to a guy that I teamed up with, only to discover that he couldn’t see me! Fortunately, after a short time, another dealer snatched them up.
Also, keep in mind that nothing is forever. I was buying up waffles like mad, and eventually my labs reset, and are now producing waffles! I am now stuck with a full inventory of waffles that I have overpaid for, and I do not have a buyer! No worries though. I have an hour commute to get home. I’ll find a junkie for them on the drive home–lesson learned!
May 19th, 2009 at 2:07 am
Sorry–that should have been my “best” effort.
Also, if this is the system that we will keep, it will get much better when push notification becomes a reality–as long as this game will take advantage if it. Hopefully it will.
May 19th, 2009 at 4:03 am
Andrey
One of the things I have noticed with the new economy is that I have to pay MUCH more attention to the junkies on my tile. I am going back and forth between the map and the open market to hunt for dealers that match my junkies. Could we get an on screen notification of local tile junkies to avoid so much map loading? You have real estate in the upper left hand side of the box, opposite from the ?. It would be nice to see, from that screen, if you have either a junkie or a lab on your tile.
May 19th, 2009 at 5:12 am
Cat daddy
I will post a comment later about details of how we work together. Im late for work.
I am checking every 15 min too
May 19th, 2009 at 7:47 am
@DeadxdawN thats a really nice idea. Lets hope Andrey will read that and maybe realize that in v1.2
May 19th, 2009 at 9:56 am
Hey Andre I travel around 3 different tiles at minimum the last couple of days each of the 3 main ones I go to had the same Junkie buying the same Lab selling the same stuff for the same price how can they be on 3 tiles at once? Im getting no benefit from moving around and they never have waffles? The tiles are eaglefarm, state of qld springhill state of queensland and coorparoo state of qld?
May 19th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
DeadxdawN, demand visible in the market screen would be great indeed. In fact, we have already put a lot of thought into the concept of working with demand the same as you work with supply right now. Some of these features are going to be added to the official Open Roadmap soon.
May 19th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
Stashman, the tiles you mentioned are refreshing Ok, no problems in there. No demand for waffles indeed, only supply. Price your waffles lower to make it attractive for dealers from other areas. I wouldn’t buy waffles at $6K
May 19th, 2009 at 12:17 pm
I like @DeadxdawN’s idea. Would save me tons of time when im on the streets trying to buy/sell quickly before I drive out of tile.
May 19th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Only one person has bought from me. (103 drops @ $987)! I made like $1,339
I know I sold Way too low, but I was testing the waters.
I messaged all the people I could see and told them of my deal.
It seems not many have the Underworld Trade Area.
So, in the meantime. Players that are working with other people are moving up in the ranks Very Fast!
May 19th, 2009 at 4:54 pm
Well before I reequipped I had my trade area maxed and it did me no good so I reeqquiped. Then they changed the economy to make the trade area necessary and I have nothing in trade area. I had coke on sale for 4000 for about 6 hours and sold nothing so apparently not many people are using trade area or aren’t buying from other dealers. Aside from one sale on my way to work it has been 17 goes since I had a sale. This 6-8 hour shift on junkies isn’t working in some areas apparently and has fucked this game up for some people.
May 19th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Player buying from Player SUCKS, I have not yet purchased from a player successfully every other buy is a bust. I have someone selling Waffles for $5200 and a junkie buying at $5900. I thought ok I can make $700 a sale. well that sucked. I buy 2, Deal was good, Buy 2 more, Busted Lost $10,400. Ok bad luck right, buy 2 deal good, buy 4 busted lost $20,800.
Buying from other players is a huge NO NO. You take all the risk buying from another player. If the busts were buying from a lab, OK I can make the money up as I would make $3000+ per sale. But buying from another player and having almost no money to make SUCKS.
Only the players selling to other dealers and buying from labs will go anywhere in the game. If you have to buy from a dealer and try to make a few bucks you will always come out on bottom. That is unless you are willing to but protection. But that is useless also, you buy for 8 hours protection, but only get to buy one or twice during that time as the refresh sucks.
I really thought this was going to work and from what i have read Busts are less when buying from others. B*** S***. They are way more frequent.
May 19th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
I was number 1 in LA now I am 3rd
May 19th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Player are too greedy and don’t want to split profits. I have messaged everyone in my trade area (About 10 people) an NONE are willing to work together.
SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS.
I was hopeing for a fun game. I guess I was wrong. I could get use to this new way, but if everyone in you area are A** H**** then I can never move up in ranks, Unless I spend real $$$ on protection or gas driving around. If I am going to spend that kind of money I might as well spend it on real drugs.
May 19th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
LOL!!!
May 19th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
May 19th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
People who refuse to work along with other dealers won’t make much money anyway. The game definitly turned group based. Pm me if you wanna work together and if iam on your trade area
~Fury
May 20th, 2009 at 12:57 pm
For the past few days the only junkies on my tiles have been weed, Viagra and speed even if I were to have lab pricing i’m making what 200 bucks a pill I have 5.8 million to make and can’t give coke away right now how the fuck can you fuck up a game this bad. I understand wanting us to buy from each other but some areas don’t work that way apparently. I’m in Indiana marion county and I know of one other in my area having the same problem.
May 20th, 2009 at 8:05 pm
I really wish the Dev’s would take in consideration our complaints about what’s working and not working… just when we figured out the economy they changed it.. Ok we understand the concept of the new economy but it doesn’t always work the way they think it should, develop a better way of communicating with other players and give us a better way of dumping stock for example if i’m stuck with 50+ waffles and no one in my area buys from me at 2500 (i bought them around 1700 - 2100) then why do i have to dump them all losing tons of money why can’t i just dump them by selecting certain amount? I wont mind losing 1 or 2 thousand, but when I’m just dumping 50 x $2100 in product thats just dumb to waste $105,000 isn’t it?
May 20th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
It seems the addicts buy more often when you have purchased from another player. I’m making half of what I would when buying from a lab, but I can’t seem to keep my Drops/Shrooms Stock full cause the junkies keep buying me out!
SWEET!
